You can connect your VT Markets live or demo account to the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) or MetaTrader 5 (MT5) platforms across Windows PC, Mac, iOS, and Android devices. Logging in requires your trading account number, master password, and assigned broker server, all of which are generated upon trading account opening. You can review your active account credentials through the VT Markets Client Portal.

Before you log in to your trading account

VT Markets maintains separate login credentials for portal access and individual trading platforms.

• Independent platform credentials: MT4 and MT5 operate on separate database systems; MT4 credentials cannot be used to access MT5, and MT5 credentials cannot log in to MT4.

• Required details: Ensure you have your trading account number, master trading password, and exact assigned server name (e.g., VTMarkets-Live 1) ready from your confirmation email.

Steps to log in on MT4 or MT5 desktop (Windows PC / Mac)

Refer to the steps below to connect your trading account to the desktop

1. Download and install MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 from the official VT Markets website.

2. Launch the installed MT4 or MT5 platform on your computer.

3. In the top-left menu bar, click File and select Login to Trade Account.

4. Enter your MT4 or MT5 trading account login details:

   • Login: Enter your trading account number.

   • Password: Enter your master trading password.

   • Server: Select your assigned server from the dropdown list.

   • (Optional) Check Save account information to store credentials for future sessions.

5. Click Login (or OK); once connected, the network status indicator in the bottom-right corner will show green and blue bars.

Steps to log in on iOS devices (iPhone / iPad)

Refer to the steps below to connect your trading account to iOS devices. 

• Logging in to MetaTrader 4 (MT4):

  1. Open the MT4 app and tap Settings in the bottom-right corner.

  2. Tap New Account, then select Log in to an existing account.

  3. Type VT Markets in the broker search bar and tap your assigned server.

  4. Enter your Login (account number) and Password, then tap Sign In.

• Logging in to MetaTrader 5 (MT5):

  1. Open the MT5 app and tap Settings in the bottom-right corner.

  2. Tap New Account.

  3. Type VT Markets in the search bar and select VT Markets (Pty) Ltd.

  4. Select your assigned server from the server dropdown list.

  5. Enter your Login (account number) and Password, then tap Done.

Steps to log in on Android devices

Refer to the steps below to connect your trading account to Android devices. 

• Logging in to MetaTrader 4 (MT4):

  1. Open the MT4 app and tap the Menu (≡) icon in the upper-left corner, then tap Manage accounts.

  2. Tap the + (plus) icon in the top-right corner and select Log in to an existing account.

  3. Search for VT Markets and select your assigned server from the list.

  4. Enter your Login (account number) and Password, then tap Sign In.

• Logging in to MetaTrader 5 (MT5):

  1. Open the MT5 app and tap the Menu (≡) icon in the upper-left corner, then tap Manage accounts.

  2. Tap the + (plus) icon in the top-right corner.

  3. Search for VT Markets and select VT Markets (Pty) Ltd.

  4. Select your assigned server name from the dropdown.

  5. Enter your Login (account number) and Password, then tap Login.
