An investor password provides read-only access to your trading account, allowing you or third parties to view your balance, trade history, and real-time open positions without the ability to place, modify, or close trades. You can easily reset or generate an investor password in MT4/5 desktop or MT4/5 App.
Desktop Terminal (MT4 / MT5 PC):
1. Open the terminal and go to Tools > Options (or press Ctrl + O).
2. Under the Server tab, click the Change button next to the password field.
3. Enter your current master (trading) password, select Change investor (read-only) password, enter your new password, and click OK.



Mobile Devices (iOS):
1. Open the MT4/MT5 app and tap Settings in the bottom bar.
2. Tap your active account name at the top, then tap the "..." icon under Current Account.
3. Select Change Password > Change Investor Password.


Mobile Devices (Android):
1. Open the MT4/MT5 app and tap the menu icon (≡) in the upper-left corner.
2. Select Manage accounts, tap the menu dots next to your account, and choose Change password.
3. Select Change investor password and follow the on-screen prompts to confirm.
