This guide explains how to connect your VT Markets live or demo account to the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) or MetaTrader 5 (MT5) desktop platform.

- 1. Download: Download MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 on our website
- 2. Launch Platform: Open MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 on your PC.
- 3. Open Login Window: In the top-left menu, click File and select Login to Trade Account.

4. Enter Credentials: Fill in your trading account details :
- 1. Login: Enter your trading account number.
- 2. Password: Enter your master trading password.
- 3. Server: Select your assigned server (e.g., VTMarkets-Live 1) from the drop-down menu.

- 5. Sign In: Click Login (or OK) to connect. Once connected, the status icon in the bottom-right corner will show Green/Blue bars, indicating live market data is streaming.
Troubleshooting
- 1. "Invalid Account" Error: Double-check that your account number, password, and assigned server match your registration details exactly.
- 2. "No Connection" Error: Check your internet connection. If the issue persists, verify that proxy settings are disabled by navigating to Tools > Options > Server and unchecking Enable proxy server.
- 3. Server Not Found in Dropdown: Go to File > Open an Account, type VT Markets in the search bar, click Scan, select your broker server, and return to the login window.
- 4. Read-Only Mode (Cannot Place Trades): Ensure you logged in with your Master Password. An Investor Password only allows viewing charts and balances without order execution.
