Accepted Documents and Criteria for Proof of Identity (POI)

• Accepted Document Types: A valid, government-issued passport (must show both the photo and signature pages), national ID card (front and back), or driver's license (front and back).

• Key Required Details: The document must clearly show your full legal name, clear photograph, date of birth, issue date, and expiry date.

• Format and Quality Standards: Must be an original, high-resolution color document (scanned file or digital capture) with all four corners visible. Hard copies, black-and-white photocopies, screenshots, blurry photos, and reflective glare are not accepted

Accepted Documents and Criteria for Proof of Address (POA)

• Accepted Document Types: Utility bills (electricity, water, gas, or landline/broadband internet), bank or credit card statements from recognized financial institutions, local tax assessments or municipal tax notices, government citizenship certificates containing a residential address, or an official residency certificate bearing a government stamp.

• Secondary Photo ID as POA: A secondary government-issued photo ID (such as a Driver’s License or National ID) showing your residential address can also be accepted in some countries.

• Validity and Issuance Date: The document must be officially issued within the last 6 months and clearly display your full legal name, issue date, and residential address.

• Address Restrictions: Only full, physical residential addresses are accepted; P.O. Box addresses are strictly prohibited.

• Format and Quality Standards: Must be an original full-color digital PDF or clear photograph with all four corners visible. Handwritten letters, black-and-white copies, and cropped files are not accepted

  

Self-Diagnosis Checklist for Rejected Documents

• Name or Details Mismatch: The legal name, address, or date of birth on the uploaded file does not match your registered VT Markets profile details.

• Expired Validity: The POI identity document is past its expiration date, or the POA was issued more than 6 months prior to the submission date.

• Missing Document Sides: National ID cards, driver's licenses, or residence permits were submitted without the back side.

• Low Resolution or Obscured Borders: The image is blurry, cropped, has reflective glare over key text, or all four corners are not clearly visible.

• Screenshots and Black-and-White Photocopies: Uploading mobile screenshots or black-and-white printouts will result in immediate rejection.

• Duplicate Profile Registration: VT Markets permits only one profile registration per individual identity; documents linked to an existing profile cannot be reused.

• Restricted Jurisdictions: Account verification cannot be approved for applicants residing in restricted countries or jurisdictions due to regulatory mandates.

   

Client Portal Verification Upload Steps

1. 1. Log in to your VT Markets Client Portal using your registered email and password.

2. 2. Navigate to the Profile tab on the left-hand menu and select My Profile > Verification.

3. 3. Under Level 2 (Identity Verification) or Level 3 (Residency Address Verification), click Verify Now.

4. 4. Attach your full-color POI and POA files according to the specified document guidelines and submit for review.

5. 5. The internal team will review the submission within 3 business hours, and a confirmation email will be sent once approved
