How do I claim my IB rebate in IB Portal?

Introducing Brokers (IBs) can manage and claim their accrued rebate directly through the VT Markets IB Portal. The rebate payout process consists of two distinct stages: first, releasing eligible commissions into your available Rebate Balance, and then withdrawing those funds to your external payment method or transferring them internally to a trading account.

Steps for Rebate Claim Via the IB Portal

  1. 1. Log in to the VT Markets IB Portal and navigate to the Dashboard from the left-hand menu.

  2. 2. Locate the Rebate Account card and click Apply for a rebate to release your eligible accrued rebate 

  3. 3. A confirmation prompt will appear displaying the result of your rebate claim request.

 

Steps for Managing Your Available Rebate Balance:

  • Once the funds reflect in your Rebate Balance, you can select your preferred option:

    • Withdraw Rebate: Click Withdraw Rebate to cash out your earnings via your preferred withdrawal method.

    • Transfer Rebate: Click Transfer Rebate to move funds internally into one of your active VT Markets trading accounts or subordinate accounts.

       

Payout Rebate Processing Timeframes 

  1. Stage 1: Claim Approval & Reflection in Rebate Balance

    • After you apply for a rebate claim/withdrawal and the application is approved, it typically takes 1 to 2 business days for the rebates to reflect in your IB rebate account balance.

  2. Stage 2: Withdrawal to External Payment Method

    • Once credited, you can submit a withdrawal request via the IB Portal; after funds are deducted from your IB account, it generally takes 1 to 3 business days to arrive in your selected withdrawal method.

       

Troubleshooting for claiming a rebate

  • Nothing happens when clicking the "Apply for a rebate button: If the "Rebate to Be Claimed" amount is 0.00 USD, or if a previous claim request is currently under review, the button will not be available.

  • Rebates (Total commission) Not Displayed Immediately: Commissions are calculated based on completed transactions and batch processing cycles; The previous day’s rebates are calculated and processed between 09:00 - 11:00 AEST daily. to appear in your total claimable amount.
