Tier Points reflect qualifying gross deposits and closed trading volume across your own trading accounts and those of your direct retail clients.
How to calculate your tier point criteria and conversion formulas
Understand qualifying thresholds and rounding rules for point generation:
-
Gross Deposits (GD):
IBs earn 1 Tier Point for every full USD 20 of eligible gross deposits.
GD points are calculated on gross incoming deposits and remain credited even if funds are subsequently withdrawn under normal trading behavior.
IBs can earn points from their own personal trading accounts as well as direct clients.
-
Notional Volume (NV):
Points are awarded based on closed trading volume in USD.
5-minute rule: Only closed trades held for more than 5 minutes qualify toward NV calculations.
Credit bonus volume is strictly excluded.
Copy trading: Qualifying copy trading transactions and deposits count toward point accumulation subject to standard rules.
No rounding up: Fractional amounts do not generate points; only whole Tier Points are awarded when full volume or deposit thresholds are met.
Vouchers and promotions excluded: Deposit vouchers and promotional credits do not qualify as eligible deposits.
How do client and Sub-IB activities affect Tier Points
Review how Sub-IB classifications impact point calculations:
Sub-IB activity exclusion: Trading volume and deposits generated by Sub-IB accounts (and their referred networks) do not count toward your ClubÉlite Tier Points.
-
Direct client conversion to Sub-IB: If an existing direct retail client transitions into a Sub-IB:
Tier Points earned prior to the conversion remain valid in your balance for their standard 12-month duration.
Any new deposits or trades executed after the conversion date will cease contributing to your Tier Points balance.
Verifying client status: Log in to the VT Markets IB Portal and check the IB Report tab to verify whether an account is classified as a direct retail client or a Sub-IB.
What reason causes Tier Points to be managed, expired, or adjusted
Refer to the below point expiration and account status:
12-month validity: Tier Points expire exactly 12 months from the date they are credited.
Non-transferable: Tier Points cannot be transferred between different IB accounts or redeemed for cash.
Tier Points update schedule: Performance is calculated daily at 00:00 and refreshed in the Client Portal and IB Portal at 09:00 AM (UTC+2).
Tier level retention adjustments: If your valid Tier points fall below your tier’s minimum threshold upon review, your tier level will adjust downward to match your actual active Tier points.
Chargebacks and reversals: If a deposit is refunded, charged back, disputed, or cancelled, associated Tier Points will be deducted.
Abuse and artificial churn: Repeated deposit and withdrawal cycles conducted solely to inflate points constitute abusive behavior and may result in point forfeiture or programme disqualification.
